I need to get my shit together and write a few posts ahead of time, I have an inbox full of emails I have sent myself with ideas and yet making them come to light is proving harder than I had expected. Mostly I am trying to take advantage of the nice weather as much as possible and when I am home I am trying to get into this book I just started, truth be told I am not sure what I think of it still.. but that's another story.
Last week Tanya and I went into New York for the Art in Bloom show at Macy's, the largest Macy's store in the world if you want to get technical! Jason and I actually went to he show when we lived here a few years ago and I was so in love that I couldn't wait to go back this year! Its such a great kick off to Spring and can you ever really get enough of the smell of fresh flowers? Absolutely not.
I'm just going to share a bunch of pictures, I apologize that some are dark, it was really hard to get a good picture in there with the lighting and TONS of people but I did the best I could! The flowers were amazing, and if you ever have a chance to see this show I highly recommend it.
Prepare yourself for a lot of pictures! I apologize in advance!
We went on World Autism Day!
They actually closed off a bunch of the escalators and filled them with flowers! Amazing!
I feel sorry for whoever is going to be expected to clean all of this up!
Some of the displays were beautiful!
So there you have it, I honestly took a ton of pictures and could share a million more but y'all know what flowers look like! After leaving the flower show Tanya and I toured around the city visiting The Filling Station which is basically like Oil & Vinegar which I have talked about here before. One of the locations is at Rockefeller Center and the displays there right now are absolutely amazing. Sadly I couldn't get a decent picture because of the sun but I thought I would share the one I got anyways just because its worth seeing!
Amazing! Rockfeller center is always worth visiting if you are in the city!
Running into Easter a little, I was shocked that Easter isn't a big deal at all here! Jason worked in the morning so I met Tanya in the morning for coffee to exchange Easter treats and the mall was open and most of the stores.. what??? I couldn't believe it!
I suppose our Easter wasn't overly traditional either but let me tell you guys I was so spoiled this year! As you get older Easter isn't really a big deal I guess but it was such a great feeling to wake up to the most amazing Easter basket from Jason, my god my husband is thoughtful and basically just amazing!
I mean when did he get all this stuff and how did I not know about it? I never saw any of this around the apartment, I never saw him hide anything or rather unhide anything either, sneaky fella he is! Tanya bought me a wonderful gift bag full of goodies which included the BEST CHOCOLATE BAR OF ALL TIME!!!! I'm a little obsessed, it is officially the best chocolate bar I have ever had. Jason's parents also sent us a really thoughtful parcel with the sweetest Easter card, a bunch of Bath & Body Works goods for me and a 1lb Reese's chocolate bunny! Ha! I am so grateful to everyone for their thoughtfulness, you are never to old to appreciate a good ol' mini egg!
Well that's it for me today guys, it actually didn't rain today like they were calling for so I managed to get out to Target for awhile and go for a walk so not to be stuck in the apartment all day. I am very excited that Lindsey and the girls are coming to visit tomorrow as we don't see them very much! I will be back tomorrow, but in the meantime have a great day and thank you as always for stopping by!
Great post Nicole.
