House Update, As Promised!

Happy Monday!! (who says that right?)

I know, I know.. no Monday is really a happy one! Weekend is over, back to work and real life.. but right now they weekends and weekdays are the same for me so HAPPY MONDAY! It is an absolutely GORGEOUS day here today, yesterday and today have been downright amazing weather! We went out today to look for Christmas ornaments in shorts! True story!

Truthfully there isn't anything super awesome about today except for the fact that we FINALLY found throw pillows! Ha! Trivial maybe but we have been looking for pillows for the living room FOREVER and nothing was really striking our fancy and when we did happen to find something they were just outrageously priced. So today we knew we wanted to head to Garden Ridge to look at Christmas stuff and we decided to check out pillows while we were there. You would assume by the name that is it all outdoor stuff there but truthfully they have absolutely everything and most of it for a really decent price!

As promised I thought I would stop in today with some updated pictures of things around the house. Really there isn't a lot I realized after going around and taking pictures but I guess little touches make it feel more and more like home! So here are a few updates...

This isn't a great picture, I thought taking the picture during the day with good light would be the best but I'm not sure, I guess you get the idea. The curtains are very simple, beige but heavy and I love them. We have the same ones for the living room windows however we haven't put them up yet because we haven't been able to find a curtain rod long enough to go across all the windows. We need one that is 144" and we would like one that matches the one we have in the dining room! Not to mention I would like to get an accent curtain to go between them and we haven't found one of those either.

This picture isn't much better! Seeings how the pictures suck you should all feel free to jump on my band wagon and tell Jason that I absolutely need to new beautiful camera for Christmas with different lenses. I have always LOVED photography and would really like to make it a serious hobby and in order to do that I will need a better camera. Just sayin'!

This awesome table was a house warming gift from Tanya over at Prairie Girl in the Big, Scary World  and her lovely hubby Josh! We are so grateful, this table is a wonderful addition to our decor, we couldn't be happier with it! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Check it out.. THROW PILLOWS!! I didn't want something square unless they were big and over sized which Jason wasn't too keen on! I wanted something with color because our downstairs thus far is extremely neutral and therefore pops of color is much needed. The backs are brown just like the walls which ties it in and I absolutely love the colors on the front. I am extremely happy with the pillows and Jason is extremely happy with the price! 3 for $30.00!!

I still hate the damn micro suede couch! I wish we never got them, I seriously hate everything about them and am glad they don't look like they will last very long!

The Smart TV is officially mounted, the thing is awesome but putting it up was not. Jason wants to move it down a couple of inches.. he's on his own!

We finally got some wedding pictures printed and put up! We have been married for 3 years in a couple of weeks and we have never had wedding pictures up... I cannot tell you how much this warms my heart and makes this house feel like home. We are so lucky to be one of those people who had an absolutely AMAZING photographer Mr. Frank Simonetti and love all our pictures. We have not been able to put them up anywhere because we always move and never wanted to print them and get them framed assuming they would break during a move! But now we don't have to worry about that!!

We decided to put them up in the stairway and I think that was a great choice! We picked a variety of pictures and I couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Above our bed we decided to go with a canvas! I was really nervous about the quality of a canvas and printing it at such a large size. We had considered many different ideas and when Jason suggested a wedding picture I thought that was a great idea! I called Shutterfly where I ordered them from and explained my concerns, they checked the order and photo quality and assured me everything would be fine. They said that if I didn't like the quality when I got it they would happily accept a return and give me a full refund.

The quality is great and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I definitely feel like having a wedding picture is way more personal then just a random canvas we picked out at the store!

We also finally picked out bedside table lamps. This was another thing that I think I had a picture in my head and was sure that I knew what I wanted and therefore when I couldn't find it we just didn't get anything for a long time. We ended up getting these at Home Depot which truthfully I hadn't considered in my search. I was really hoping to get something with a yellow accent like our decorative pillows but that just didn't happen. I'm not disappointed though, I am still on the hunt for other pillows for the bed and we haven't gotten curtains yet so who knows what I might come up with. I am extremely happy with these little gems!

Shit.. I just wrote here and deleted it somehow! Ugh! Anyways the spare room gym shall commence this week I suspect! There is a bunch of stuff in the garage to go up there as well so I believe Jason will set this all up this week and I will post some more pictures. We are pretty excited to get this up and running and start working out. Sadly we are both packing on the pounds since leaving Estevan.

Last but certainly not least this is a very useful house warming gift from Evan and Brianne! We are so grateful for everyone's amazing kindness and the gifts they have sent us for the house! There are no words! Jason was obviously BEYOND thrilled with this baby and has definitely put it to good use!

Someone continues to claim beer sales when he goes to the store... so we are stocked! I however have noticed that my beer never goes on sale!

This has no relevance nor is it new but I am so thrilled that we can finally put up things we have bought on our adventures! This is a frame we got in Hawaii in March and the picture is from the night we went to the Maui Royal Lahaina Luau! We have the most amazing time and have no been able to put the pictures up since! Oh the absolute joy of having your own home! Saying that will absolutely never get old!

I should have gotten up yesterday morning and followed Jason around taking pictures while he was making chili because let me tell you it is the best Chili I have ever had! Jason is always up with the birds and I am absolutely not a morning person so I missed out on the chili making!

We don't have a lot planned for this week but no fear I have some blogs planned! I am off to turn the chili back on for dinner tonight and to paint my toes! Tonight the Patriots play Monday night football so you know where we will be, in front of the new TV!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Monday!!

Some Serious Shopping Was Done!

Good Afternoon All!

Its not very often I make it here on a Football Sunday but I figured what the hell! We have had a busy weekend and the thought of sitting down quietly and writing to you all brought a smile to my face!

So yesterday was a big shopping day if you didn't catch the title of this post! We put a serious dent in our house wish list and let me tell you it felt GREAT! Anything that makes the house feel like home really makes me happy and yesterday we got some STUFF!!

Jason headed out in the morning to Home Depot and Lowe's while I got ready because I wasn't feeling great and therefore slow moving, plus I pretty much hate those stores! I don't mind going every once in awhile but since buying the house I feel like we spend too much time there and I am just over it. I don't want to get in the way of Jason's looking around so if I know he is going there I generally just try and get out of it. He went for this baby...

This Ladies and Gents is the Big Easy Tru-Infrared oil-less turkey fryer! Jason LOVES a good deep fried turkey, and we gave a lot of thought into getting a regular old turkey fryer for Thanksgiving but in the end decided to go a little more high tech. With a turkey fryer you obviously have the whole grease issue, and however much the turkey does not taste greasy in the end you cant help but know how it was cook and what you are eating.. none the less I wouldn't turn it down. Having said that peanut oil isn't cheap either and for us not knowing how much time we will ever spend at the house it seems even more expensive to buy it and then toss it out after one use. We gave it a lot of thought and talked to Jason's dad who has one and assured us it was the same if not better flavor, etc. In the end we got the Big Easy! We are super excited to try it out next week for a trial run before the Thanksgiving Turkey goes in!

While Jason was at Home Depot he got me a hook contraption for the broom that I wanted to hang in the pantry, I know its silly but I was so excited for this as I have look for one everywhere! That even got put up yesterday.. Awesome! During his outing I got quite a few text asking me about Christmas trees! He sent pictures and we talked prices and in the end when he got home he insisted that we go straight back to Home Depot and look at Trees. Need I remind you its not even Thanksgiving.

So Jason picked me up and we stopped first at Home Depot, we found the tree that we wanted and guess what.. they were SOLD OUT! I couldn't even believe it!!! Why are people so all over Christmas when Thanksgiving is like the biggest celebration of the year here! At this point Jason was a little antsy and therefore we had to find out where exactly we could get another one and GO! We headed straight to the next closest Home Depot and got this...

Ours is actually all white lights but the exact same tree! 7.5 foot was the biggest I could get Jason to go! They don't actually make anything in between 7.5 and 9 foot which is a shame because our ceilings downstairs are only 9 foot high! I am extremely excited to decide on Christmas decorations and start decorating the house, because everything is apparently selling out Jason and I talked about going to a few places this week and getting a few other things! We will decorate as soon as Thanksgiving is over, Jason's rule!

After we secured the tree we headed over to Home Goods to find some throw pillows for the couch! What a pain in the ass that search has been, we just cant seem to find anything that we love! Then when we do they are outrageous expensive ($60+ for 2). We have basically just been going everywhere we can and looking and finding nothing.. we may just have to resort to looking online. Anyways as we walk in the door I almost fell over!! This may seem really silly to all of you but I have been in love with THIS Kitchen Aid roaster FOREVER...

How excited am I for this.. there are no words. I have wanted this thing since months ago when Brianne busted hers out to make a ham and not only is is super pretty but the thing cleans up like a dream. Jason was morbidly against paying $80.00 for it (tight wad) but I just had to have it! Well as we walked through the doors of Home Goods on Saturday there is was, sitting in the front on sale for 50% off!!! Naturally that went right in the cart without question! We didn't get throw pillows but seriously I could have cared less, I got my roaster! I plan to roast everything for the next month! Jason can take back the Big Easy because I've got the real cooker now!!

You think we would have stopped there and went home, I mean lets be honest what could get any better. But on the way home we made a stop at Best Buy and got THIS.

This thing is pretty awesome actually, its a smart TV with 3D capabilities. We went with the 55" however I still think we should have went with the 60"... just saying! I am quite happy about it. Mounting the damn thing today was a hassle and a half today.. I tell ya! This is not a job I was meant to help with, Jason is not an easy person to work with and this was a huge pain in the ass. In the end we decided for the good of our marriage I would no longer help with this type of thing!

We got it up though and in the end I am extremely happy with it! Jason hasn't gotten it all hooked up just yet, I think that might be a project for tomorrow!

Besides that we really haven't done a ton this weekend.. running around and shopping! In the time we were home we were mostly cleaning because the people in and out of here left messes everywhere! Friday night we decided to grill which is always exciting, it was a nice night and so I made kabobs! They were absolutely excellent, Jason (who wont eat any of these veggies) totally missed out! He had a steak... which I felt no need to take a picture of!

So that is our weekend in a nutshell. I rhymed off a nasty email to our building superintendent again this morning, little dick better respond tomorrow or I might lose my shit! Tomorrow morning though I am going to get up regardless and take a bunch of pictures of whats going on around this place and update ya'll!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! If not go out and buy something, it will help I swear!!

A Night Out.. Christmas Style!

Afternoon All,

In case you were wondering it is still chilly as all hell here in Raleigh!! I don't know what is going on, from what I am hearing this is really unusual for this time of year and let me tell you I should hope so. The nights and mornings are freezing but truth be told it warms up quite nicely during the day! We are expecting some rain today though and I am alright with that, we are planning a night in after last night!

Last night Jason and I headed downtown for a night out at the theater! We got downtown and walk around in the crisp fall air for awhile before settling in at The Big Easy for the most incredible dinner! We hadn't planned where we would eat before we got down there (surprisingly because Jason usually plans everything to the point of annoying) so after walking around for awhile we thought this would be a great place to try. I'm not going to lie we couldn't have picked anywhere better! The atmosphere was awesome, warm and inviting.. there was live jazz music being played! I was in heaven! You know those bars that have the old wooden bars, big windows, a place you feel at home (no I don't find it at all weird to refer to a bar as "home" I basically lived at Daly's while we were in NYC). We ordered beers and enjoy the music while perusing their New Orleans themed menu!

I am a super fussy eater if I haven't mentioned that and I can't have seafood so I was a little worried about what I would order and I really wasn't in the mood for usual bar food (chicken strips). Jason convinced me to order the pork chops by reminding me of the amazing pork chop dinner I had in Washington DC while we were there a few summers ago and let me tell you once again I was not disappointed. I am not a lover a pork chops but they were done in a mushroom demi glaze with the most amazingly incredible, fantastic, enjoyable mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life!!! I don't know how they did it but I swear I could have sat there eating them for the rest of my life! Generally I don't even like mashed potatoes but these ones.. well.. there just are no words! Dinner was absolutely fantastic!!!!

When we were done dinner we headed out to get a Starbucks and wander until it was almost time for the show!! I got my first Eggnog Latte of the season.. mmm... and Jason tried their new Gingerbread latte (different recipe then the years before, with spiced whipped cream and molasses drizzle). It really was a beautiful night to get a warm drink and wander around downtown, its funny how the cool weather and holiday season makes everything just feel different!

We finally headed over to the Center of Performing Arts for Elf the Musical!!

I was super excited to see Elf on stage, it is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies and I absolutely love the theater! This was our first time at this theater and I always like to see different places and its nice to know what is available in regards to the arts locally!

The theater itself is beautiful, the outside was beautifully lit! The inside was well setup and when we arrived they were offering a plethora of refreshments! It was all just very Christmas like, festive! Everyone was dressed up and chatty.. it was a great atmosphere! When we were seated the stage was dressed up like Christmas naturally and I just couldn't wait for the show to start!

The show was incredible, it has quite a few differences from the movie which is to be expected. The performers all had mostly Broadway experience, some TV and more.. the show was excellent!

After dinner we headed home to bed (we are old and not exciting right?) because as I expected the painters did not come close to finishing and therefore expected to be back here this morning at 8:00am.

We have pretty much hung around here today, I made a quick trip to Target, leaving with only the four things that were on my list when I went which I consider to be a major feat! I could spend a fortune at Target daily, lets be real! I didn't even walk through the clothes or shoes, probably why I left with nothing more then paper towel and 3 other boring items.

The painters are still here and are planning on working late, but I'm not stupid and know damn well they won't be done today either. Naturally Carter hasn't been around either.. little snake that he is, for a "superintendent" he is not the least bit reliable, he hasn't actually done one thing that he said he was going to do. Asshole.

On that note I will be departing, again if they do by some miracle finish painting I plan to take some pictures around the house and post them tomorrow.. but don't count on it.

I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend! If you're in the South take advantage of the beautiful weekend ahead as they are calling for it to cool down again next weekend!!

PS - BECAUSE I LIKE YOU ALL, WARNING!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY - DO NOT BUY A KB HOME!!!!

New and Good!

Good Morning Ya'll!!!

Good lord it is COLD this morning in the South!! We woke up this morning to FROST!! I kid you not and yes we are in North Carolina!!! We had to be up first thing this morning for the painters to come in and when we got up the house was a little chilly to say the least! The painters were late, Carter didn't show up and Jason dumped paint all over the garage floor. I called Carter and very plainly said that he has not followed through on anything that he said and he said that he would be here today with the painters to make sure that everything was done to our standards so he better be here. He made some lame excuse about how they were suppose to be here at 9:00am and they were obviously early (they were here yesterday and told us they would be here at 8:00am today) and he would be here shortly. He showed up shortly after and left while no one was looking and hasn't been seen since. I'm pissed. Wait till I see that little frigger!

Anyways I finally blocked everyone out and sat with my coffee and some fresh sourdough toast.. what could be better then that right? I LOVE sourdough toast! I've spent my morning watching people walk throughout my house hopefully doing what they are suppose to (doubtful) and doing it quickly (unlikely, they look like they will be here all day!).

Jason and I are heading to the local theater tonight to see a Christmas play, I know its a little early but with the chance of Jason being gone for most of the Christmas season and the fact that the show is running now and we need a night out we thought, why not! We are going to head down early for a nice dinner and then make our way over to the theater, I cannot wait! I have always enjoyed productions of all sorts, everywhere I have seen them and I convinced Jason early on in our relationship that he was missing out in life having not seen a stage production, after his first he agreed! I cannot wait for tonight!

So I said that I was going to stop by today to tell you all about some new products I am using and what I think of them all and that is exactly what I am here to do!!

I have recently started using Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes, see HERE . I have used these cleansing towelettes for years, they work great for removing make up and leaving your skin feeling clean and fresh. I used the Dove ones for years until they stopped making them! Because I have sensitive skin it was really hard for me to find something that worked and didn't leave my face covered in a rash or cause break outs. After Dove was no more I switched to Simple which I used for almost a year and then recently I noticed that every time I would use them it would leave my skin quite red. I knew that I needed to change my skin care routine and therefore having had such great luck with other Burt's Bees products I decided to try the cleansing towelettes. I have only been using these for a little under a month but I am extremely happy with them! I love the size of the cloth, the texture as well. I am not a fan of the exfoliating clothes, these ones are extremely soft and take the makeup off without effort, they don't leave my skin dry or irritated, I couldn't be happier with this product!

In keeping with the theme of skincare products, as I mentioned I have recently changed my skincare routine. For some reason lately I have been having skin issues that I have never experienced before. Hate me if you will but I didn't have acne issues as a teenager, a breakout here and there but nothing I would have considered severe by any means. Recently I wouldn't say my skin issues are severe but I notice more breakouts then normal leaving me feeling quite self conscious. I will attribute this mainly to stress which is something I wish I could control but is just not the case, so I thought I would take a few extra steps in my skin care routine to see if I could make a difference.

I started using Clean and Clear  Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer that can be seen HERE. As I mentioned I have extremely sensitive skin and therefore I have to be extremely careful about the products I use. Sadly skin care products are not cheap and therefore purchasing something you can only use once isn't overly practical or encouraging. Feeling a little helpless in my situation I decided to try a new Clean and Clear product as I have had luck with their moisturizers in the past. I like this product, it does what is says and moisturizes my skin, it doesn't leave it greasy or feeling heavy. I would say the price is reasonable and that always makes me happy, I would say if you suffer from dry skin this would absolutely be something to try!

Shall we just stick with facial products while we are at it? I think so, lets talk make up!

Recently I have been quite interested in make up tutorials, I religiously follow Kate Bryan at The Small Things Blog and all her makeup tips and tutorials. I enjoy trying new make up products and seeing the different affects it can have on the look you are trying to portray! Again makeup is NOT CHEAP and therefore I like to read reviews and see if different products are worth purchasing and if they will potentially work for my skin type, etc.

Liquid foundation is not something I use much of, as I mentioned my face very rarely breaks out and therefore I don't feel the need to bog down my skin with products, but let it breathe in hopes of preventing break outs. But in a recent attempt to even out my skin tone I decided to try a new product I have heard a lot of good things about. Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick! I went to Ulta and spoke to a consultant about whether or not she thought this would be a good product for my skin type and what shade she recommended as I tend to fine liquid foundation makes me look washed out and pale!

I am extremely happy with this product! I draw a few lines around my face and use a foundation brush to blend in. Once blended it feels light and airy on my face, I love the little amount of product needed to conceal my entire face and it lasts all day without needing to reapply. I do not use a primer and I honestly don't think one is needed with a product of this caliber! I highly recommend when you run out of foundation next time trying this one, I don't think you will be disappointed!

Alright, last face related product! It's not like any of the others... its for your lips! I am a lip gloss HOARDER! The amount of lip glosses, balms, chaps and sticks I have around is pretty excessive, but I wont apologize.. my lips are important and my hoarding is only an attempt to make sure they are well taken care of. Haha. Did you believe that? I mean it's partially true!

ANYWAYS truthfully everything WORKS but there are just some that you find and absolutely love, for me this is rare but when it comes along I stick with it. When we were at home in the summer Barb and I were sitting around at the table and she whipped out a lip gloss I have never seen. We share them when together, I love this about us! So naturally I asked to try it and I immediately LOVED it! This fabulous lip balm is a from Cover Girl and its called Lipslicks Smoochies Lip Balm! I went back to Estevan after our visit on the hunt for this baby and with no luck Barb (god love her) graciously sent me one! I use it everyday, it is always in my purse or in my pocket! I love the way it feels on my lips, it prevents drying but also gives a beautiful warm color! I don't particularly like any lip gloss that leaves my lips sticky, causing my hair to get stuck in it, etc. This product is amazing, I truly cannot say enough good things about it. GO OUT AND BUY IT, RIGHT NOW!

This is the color that I use, I am sorry I don't know the name of it off hand. I believe it is TRU LUV but it is upstairs in my purse and the painters are all over the stairs.

Moving on from face products shall we? Apparently I've been doing a little shopping because I have more to share then I expected. As you know being in the new house I have been taking advantage of our master bathroom and the wonderful new bathtub! I love shower products but am a real snob when it comes to shower gel. Naturally it needs to smell amazing and I don't want something that leaves my skin feeling heavy or greasy. Dove products smell wonderful but I find them to thick and heavy and hard to scrub off. I suppose it is a good thing that little product is required but I can't say I will buy that again. While in Canada I was using natural products from The Body Shop which I loved and for some reason just have no looked for here. I should get on that. In the meantime I have found something that I really like, Dial Skin Therapy Himalayan Pink Salt & Water Lily. I absolutely love this body wash, it smells absolutely INCREDIBLE!! I love how light it feels on my skin and how soft I feel when I get out of the shower. I don't need to use a lot but I don't need to scrub and scrub to feel like my skin is clean! I think Dial is one of those brands that kind of goes under the radar and I'm not sure why because their products are fantastic! If body wash is on your shopping list, give this one a try... at the very least you will smell fantastic!

Nearing the end folks.. I promise! I suppose its been awhile since I have done a favorite products post and I guess I forgot how long they can be!

As you know I have quite the mop on my head! I have tons and tons of hair and it is generally a curly mess unless I make the time and effort to do something about it. For a long time I have been wanting and wishing for long hair, believe it or not I find my hair to be more manageable when it is longer as it is so heavy that the weight pulls the curls out and leaves it looking like less of a mess with less effort (that sounds lazy). However I decided that if I was going to grow my hair long then I was going to take care of it, I was going to get up every morning and actually do something with it, not just throw it up in a bun and call it even. Turns out there is a lot I can do with it if I am making the time!! So with the new found effort to make my hair look presentable I have been using some new products in order to make my hair work with me.

As I mentioned earlier I follow Kate Bryan at The Small Things Blog religiously and she cant say enough good things about Aquage Uplifting Foam and because my hair is so heavy I do find that with straight hair or otherwise the top of my hair can tend to look flat as time proceeds after acquiring the desired look. Unfortunately you cant just walk into Target or even Ulta and get Aquage products and although it is still on my radar I decided to just pursue a root lifter that I could purchase locally and see what I thought of it. While at Ulta I discovered Alterna Haircare product Bamboo Volume Uplifting Root Blast  . I am generally skeptical of all new products because what works on thin to medium hair often does nothing for me. I decided to give it a try and was actually really surprised with the outcome. I washed and blow dried my hair, at that point before using my straightener, I used the spray sectioning off my hair and putting it in multiple places directly at the roots. I then brushed through and straightened my hair. I couldn't believe the volume I received that the roots and how long lasting it was. A friend of mine actually commented on how voluminous she thought my hair looked that day.. yay!

If you are looking for something on the fly and don't have the time to wait for Aquage to be delivered or cant seem to find it I would highly recommend this product, if it can work on my thick crazy mop think about what it could do for you!

Last but not least (well, kind of..), as you know I have a love affair with World Market and when I am there little things tend to appear in my cart, and I just have no idea how they got there. Well that is what happened with the next product, I was there one day walking around and it just jumped out at me. It was the first cold day we had in Raleigh since we arrived and what does cold weather mean? Dry skin, naturally.. and what does dry skin mean? HAND CREAM! Lets be honest you can never have enough hand cream!! So I decided to purchase Aroma Artesanles De Antigua Grapefruit Tangerine Hand Cream. Then I came home and lost it! I swear I looked everywhere for the stuff and could not find it anywhere, so the next time I was there I bought another one. I figured if I found it then it wouldn't hurt to have two, in case you were wondering I did end up finding it in my jacket pocket that I had worn all that day and then remembered coming home and leaving my jacket on for awhile because it was chilly, haha so I guess I used it and stuck it in my pocket and then forgot about it, so now I have two.. SCORE!

I like this stuff, it smells absolutely incredible but it does leave my hands feeling temporarily greasy which I am not a huge fan of. Its not terrible and you will get that I suppose with any hand cream of this thickness, having said that I would still buy it again and I think you should too.. just sayin'.

So that's it!! This has taken me quite some time, haha! I hope you all enjoyed my list and I hope you try at least one of the products!! If you happen to or already have please tell me what you think, if you liked it, if you morbidly disagree with me and why! I would love to hear your input!

I am going to make a sandwich, yes on that fabulous sourdough bread and hope that these people get moving so I can go for a shower and get ready for a outing tonight!! I will be back tomorrow with details or our night and some updated pictures of the house if no one has to come back in tomorrow!

Have a fabulous day all and stay warm!

Oh What Happens When I'm Away!

WE GOT THE LAPTOP BACK!!!! $200.00 later.. which I suppose is better then having to buy a new laptop all together, but none the less a huge piss off in that this thing isn't even two years old! Apparently there were virus's and traces of them about 16 to be exact, which kills me because we are really good about buying the antivirus and installing it before the prior one runs out. I guess shit happens! None the less we have it back and it doesn't feel like our computer but whatever I can blog!

As previously mentioned we went mini golfing on the weekend at the Seavey's but I did not put the pictures from said event on the computer yet (worst blogger ever) but eventually I will and you will get picture overload. After mini golf we headed to the Mellow Mushroom for lunch... Oh... My... Lord... it was INCREDIBLE! I don't know why we have never been to one before, we hit the one in Fayetteville but there is one in Raleigh we plan to visit soon!

Anyways you WILL NOT BELIEVE what flippin' happened here yesterday! Honestly Jason and I have been joking about our luck lately and if something bad is going to happen its going to happen to us.. I'm pretty sure sets that in stone! So yesterday Jason and I were home in the afternoon and he was touching up some paint spots and we were just hanging out, then the doorbell rang. I came downstairs and got the door and some young kid was standing there and handed me a roll of paper towel and said.. "can I show you what goes with that?" and I was like... Umm.. ok? So he runs to some SUV parked at the end of our driveway and I call for Jason! Long story short they were trying to sell a vacuum! Who knew people still did that? Anyways they came in and then I couldn't tell them to get out so they proceeded with a demo! Well Jason was totally into it because apparently his mother had one of these vacuums his whole life and they are awesome. The demonstration was really impressive but midway through the obviously experienced sales guy said that he had to run to his other person he had around the corner and this kid would continue the demonstration and he would be back. Well.... it was going fine and then he wanted to show us how it removes stuff from mattresses.

Long story short he proceeds to put the vacuum on our brand new bed and puts massive holes in it and sucks out all the padding! SEE... BAD STUPID THINGS!!!

So obviously this bed is brand new and Jason freaks out while this poor kid wanted to sob right then and there! I mean it obviously sucked and I was mad but he didn't do it on purpose obviously and he felt absolutely terrible!! Jason was pacing around cursing making him feel so much worse! It was an awful situation. So he calls his boss on our house phone and I can hear this guy (the one who had just left) tell him to suck it up and continue the demonstration he would be back soon. This poor kid just wanted to leave, or cry.. I wouldn't let him use our bathroom out of fear I might find him hanging from the shower rod.. it was bad.

So his boss comes back after about 20 minutes of uncomfortable-ness and believe it or not says nothing about the bed and continues to try and sell us the vacuum without even offering us a discount! I was like.. HOLD THE PHONE ASSHOLE! We ARE NOT paying $1,600.00 for a vacuum when you just ruined our $1,600.00 BED!!!! Then he was like, "oh, well can I take a look?" ACTUALLY I INSIST!!!!! So he took a look and very casually said he would take some pictures and see what he could go. Umm no? Basically in the end he didn't want to do anything so Jason told him he was going to call the police. haha! We exchanged information with him, sent our receipt for the bed to his boss and they are suppose to either replace the bed on Monday or cut us a check for its value. I am surprised it has actually gone as smooth, they did tell us because the bed is under warranty we could take that route but lets be honest they aren't going to cover this! So I will keep you posted, but until we have a new bed I am going to assume we are going to get screwed.

I mean can you even believe it? Who does this happen too?

Tomorrow more people are coming in to do work around the house, they will be here at 8:00am and you know how I feel about that! But because I have to be up early tomorrow I plan to be productive and take some pictures of some new products I am using and would love to share with you! I haven't done that in awhile and its actually something that I really enjoy. A lot of the new products that I try are based on product reviews that I read on blogs that I follow!!

Hopefully tomorrow we will be mostly done with the things that need to be done around the house (I won't count on it, but lets hope) and then I plan to take pictures of more wonderful things we have added around here! There are some new additions that I am so excited to share with you! We are having the worst luck with throw pillows and such so once I sign off from here I am off to look online and see what I can find!

I hope you are all having a great week, truth be told its been a chilly one in the South this week! I headed out to check the mail last night around dinner tonight and it was SNOWING! I almost friggin' died! SERIOUSLY! Did I miss the memo that the south now gets winter? I'm not having it! Jason flew out the back door as soon as I told him and was dancing around the back yard in his Tshirt! Loser! It is getting down to 24 tonight and calling for a cool day tomorrow as well. Just my luck.

I am headed to look for pillows and drink some apple cider! Might as well make the best of the cold weather! I will be back tomorrow bright and early!!
