Look I know all your Northerners are getting snow but as I said before, you live in the North.. you should expect it. It doesn't mean I don't have sympathy for you but we live in the South, its a different game out here!
I have had just the best 4 days, we have been spending our time out in the sun getting projects done around the house and making the most of the lovely weather! Yesterday was set to be the hottest and let me tell you I was SO THRILLED to get out and enjoy it! Every morning I have been jumping out of bed ready to get outside as soon as I could! Every night we have been grilling and sitting outside as late as we possibly could and it has been so wonderful.
Yesterday we knew that we wanted to super clean the truck but besides that we didn't have much on the agenda so we decided that we would start our day at the driving range! I'm not going to lie I don't think much of golf as a sport, I like to drive the cart around and drink beer. I don't have much of a golf game and haven't really ever taken it seriously when we have played in the past, because I'm drinking beer. Going yesterday sounded great, I was definitely thinking more of tanning than actually swinging clubs.
When we got to the driving range, one that I had never been too before I noticed right away that there were quite a few woman there and let me tell you they were not good. I'm not saying that to be mean, they were saying it themselves, amongst other quite vulgar things. I could tell that they felt embarrassed and to be honest I suspected I would feel the same way, so I was standoffish about the whole thing. If you don't know this about me I don't care to partake in things that I am not good at.
I watched Jason for awhile and then he pushed me to play, this is one of the great things about Jason.. he really will push me out of my comfort zone even when I am not at all about it and for that I am extremely thankful. Reluctantly I took a club (the 4 iron) and swung away! I actually wasn't half bad, the more balls I hi the better I got! I completely gained confidence the more I played and really really enjoyed myself!
Now keep in mind I might have been better if I was dressed appropriately, for example NOT in flip flops. Now I have a few pictures to share but I have to say when you look you will see that my form is not as good as Jason's... but this was my first time playing in like 3 years I believe.. so cut me some slack.
Of course I have a golf glove!
I really should have had a hair tie.
Not terrible, right?
Ya that was the weather yesterday and I believe the weather today is a lie! Its DEFINITELY NOT 70 degrees at and as the news is on right now they are calling for severe thunderstorms this evening. ugh.
We decided on some indoor activities today! We went to the mall to look for some summer shirts for Jason, I got some capris at the Gap with my gift cards from Christmas, we bought a rug for the office space and got some groceries! Believe it or not all that took all afternoon.
I am off not to have dinner and then Facetime with Tanya! After that I must pack because we are heading to Georgia tomorrow morning! We will be back on Saturday night so unless I find time to prepare a post tonight and then publish it tomorrow I don't believe you will hear from me until Sunday. I am BEYOND excited for our trip and will definitely have a plethora of pictures to share with you when we return!!
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and all your Northerners getting all that snow.. STAY SAFE AND WARM!
What???!!?! No pictures of the rug??? Have a great trip. :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of golf either. Have you ever heard the clip about golf by Robin Williams ? He does it in a Scottish accent. Hilarious. I will see if I can find it and send it to me.
ReplyDeleteI have not heard the Golf clip by Robin Williams but am sure its hilarious. I don't care for golf either, I have no desire to actually go and play a game... my last time wasn't a good experience but that is a story for another day! ;)
