February Birchbox

Good Morning,

So as you know last week I was anxiously awaiting my Birchbox, I generally get mine a few days before Tanya so when she got hers a week ago I was wondering where the heck mine was and who was holding it hostage. I was pretty excited when it showed up last week looking ever so snazzy! Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the box, but it was super nice!

Anyways lets not ramble, lets jump in and see what was in there.. because it was all good stuff.

If you get a Birchbox, or if you don't you can follow them on instagram and they give sneak peeks which doesn't necessarily mean you are going to get everything they show but a few things yes. I was really excited by this months sneak peek because I actually needed a lot of what they were showing!

Looks good doesn't it?

Marcelle Gentle Eye makeup remover for sensitive eyes. Tanya loves this stuff so I was anxious to try it. I got the Body Shop Camomile gentle eye make up remover for Christmas and sadly although it says gentle it tends to bother my eyes. I use it because of course I don't want to waste it but I know that I wouldn't repurchase it. As soon as I finished that one I will be anxious to try this baby.

Coola Face SPF 30 Unscented matte tint Sun block. I will honestly say that I have never used a sun block specifically for my face nor do I generally put sun block on my face. I know, gasp, freak out.. I decided I would do it this year before I even got this stuff. But lets be honest most sun block is greasy and gross and that is the last thing you want on your face! None the less Tanya has received this before and said its great, so if we ever get nice weather than I will be really excited to use it!

Camille Beckham Platinume Gold Imperial Hand Therapy. This product is also really useful as I keep all these little hand lotions on my night table and use them before I go to bed. You can never have too many hand lotions, especially in the winter!! This one has a super fresh scent and I cannot wait to use it!

Juicy Couture Hollywood Royal Perfume. Scented with candied apple, white petals and cashmere wood.. this is my scent guys! I love getting this little sample perfumes, they are fantastic for travel, I love being able to try new scents before purchasing a large bottle, they are absolutely fantastic to throw in your purse! I am always really excited to see these in my monthly box.

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Last Mascara in black. Lately I have had a bad run with mascara, the CK One mascara I received as a gift from Ulta for my birthday turned out to be AWFUL, it did nothing for my lashes expect make them clump, it did not apply nicely and it was a bitch to get off. So I opened up my steel from Bed Bath and Beyond, I forget the exact name of it but it is Maybelline and was on sale for $2.00 and if you wear mascara you know that's just plain crazy! Well I opened it up when the Calvin Klein one was a bust and it too SUCKS! The brush is really weird and I cant seem to get a good coat on my lashes. Ugh. So having used up all my other sample mascaras from months past I was so excited to get this mascara and let me tell you guys, I have used it already and LOVE IT! I hate to fall in love with a mascara that retails full size for $24.00 but hey, a girl knows what she likes! This stuff is FANTASTIC which is not surprising from Benefit but I didn't think I would love it this much.

So that was it for this month, I am always hoping for a beauty blender in my box but I have no complaints about this months contents. The best case scenario is that everything you receive you love, and I won't know that until I use everything but for me I feel really good about opening my box every month and knowing that I will use everything I receive.

As always I will write up a review of all the products I have received once I have used them all, I have a good feeling about all of this stuff. I have to tell you once again, if you don't receive some kind of monthly subscription like Birchbox, Luxebox, Boxy Charm, Ipsy Bag.. etc. then you are MISSING OUT!!! There are so many options out there, I highly recommend getting one. Its like Christmas every single month!!!

I hope you guys are having a great day, thank you as always for stopping by!!

High Five for Friday 2.13.15

Happy Freezing Friday!!

Guys it is FREAKIN' COLD here today and its suppose to be all weekend. I just want winter to go away, is that too much to ask?? I am so over jackets, boots, cold and everything else winter related! This is why we bought a house in a warm climate... remind me again why we aren't living there? Winter makes me homesick.

ANYWAYS!

Here we are and its officially Friday, tomorrow is Valentine's Day and this week has been a pretty good one!! Wanna chat about it?

1. Live with Kelly & Michael

Wednesday Tanya and I went to a live taping of the Live with Kelly & Michael show, it was FANTASTIC! I plan to write a whole post about it next week with pictures but I had to mention it today because it was definitely the highlight of my week! We had such a great time, and although I watch the show every morning I was actually shocked at how different things look there then they do on TV, but more on that next week!

2. Sale at Kohl's

I love Kohl's!!! We have one by our house that I frequent and how excited was I when we came here to find there was one in the mall across the street. I cant tell you the countless amazing deals I have gotten at Kohl's over the years and this week was no exception. You are suppose to replace your pillows every years (didn't know?) and Jason is really fussy about pillows and has been talking about wanting new ones for our bedroom at home. I was wandering around at Kohl's this week and came across Chap's pillows (king size) for 80% off! They were $9.99, so naturally I was already getting two. I then realized I have a 15% off coupon on my phone as well, score! I went to the cash and ended up paying $17 and change for the pillows and on my receipt it showed my total savings was $83.00!!! $83.00!!! TOO GOOD!!!! I love a good sale, and LOVE the new pillows.

3. Breakfast Parfaits

I've never been much of a breakfast person, I know that it is the most important meal of the day but I have never bothered much with it. I assume part of this is because I absolutely despise eggs! Going to the gym every morning I find that I am really hungry in the mornings, also with lighter dinners and no after dinner snacking. So I have been absolutely LOVING breakfast yogurt parfaits. The nice thing is you can change the up everyday if you want and use whatever you want. I use Greek yogurt, flavor varies, fresh fruit and a little granola. I've been using the Bear Naked Granola and I really love it, they have a ton of flavors to check out and they are super reasonably priced. I'm so thoroughly enjoying breakfast these days, healthy and filling! Sorry I didn't take a picture.

4. Dunkin Donuts Vanilla Chai

I'm generally a Starbucks kind of girl, obviously... but the thing is sometimes I get bored of the same drinks and need a change. I actually haven't had Starbucks in a dogs age but last week while I was at the mall I grabbed a Dunkin Donuts Raspberry White Chocolate latte for a change and it was amazing. So yesterday I was telling Tanya about it while we were at the mall she wisely had to have one and I grabbed an oldie but a goody, the vanilla chai. I don't generally drink these unless we are in Maine because there is legit nothing around Jason's parents town but a Dunkin Donuts (40 minutes away), so while driving through I would stock up on a few. They are sooooo good! They oddly only come in one size, I'm not exactly sure why but I think they might become my new go to!

5. My February Birchbox!

I was seriously under the impression that someone was holding my Birchbox hostage because as of yesterday I still hadn't gotten it. So when I received an email last night saying they had a package for me I went running. I LOVE my Birchbox subscription as you know and although I will have a post on it next week I thought I would share a sneak peek with you right now, because lets be honest.. you've been wondering!

Naturally it would turn itself around. Ugh.

So that's my week guys, winter has really put a damper on any kind of adventures or anything because basically its just too darn cold out.

I hope you guys have a fantastic weekend and Happy Valentine's Day! If you have anything planned make sure to dress warm because this weekend is suppose to be the coldest around here that its been in 2 decades! Naturally we are here for this because the bad weather follows us!

This week I am linking up with:
And these lovely ladies...

I Got Nothin'...

Hi guys,

Well I have been wanting to blog about my February Birchbox but apparently someone is holding it hostage somewhere because I have yet to get it. This does not make me happy.

I cant wait to tell you all about yesterday at the live taping of Live with Kelly & Michael but I haven't gone through all my pictures yet, but I have to tell you to watch tomorrow morning as well because they also taped the beginning of Friday's show while we were there and the guy sitting beside Tanya won the daily prize so we will definitely be on the show!!!! I was excited when we learned they were going to tape part of another show because I was dying to find out who the other celebrity was going to be. It was Dale Earnhardt Jr, how disappointed was I? Either way it was an amazing experience that I promise to share next week!

Tanya and I did some running around today, I am on the hunt for some boots (not winter, screw that) and although Macy's is having a HUGE sale of 50% off tons of boots, and I swear I mean tons if you are looking for boots check it out.. but I have my heart set on other ones they didn't have so I just ordered them online. We managed to make it to Target as well and then home before the sky turned black and released a fury of snow and winds.. good lord!

I have some tidying to do around the apartment, we are having leftovers for dinner tonight which I am not a huge fan of but for some reason the fridge is full so what other choice does a girl have?

That's really all I've got today guys, I thought I would have hit the pillow last night and slept like the dead because I was up at 4:30am to get ready to meet Tanya yesterday morning but I didn't sleep great and so basically I was lazy today and didn't plan a post. Shit happens. I also haven't read anything in a couple of days which is terrible, I was on a war book kick which I still am but haven't found anything striking my fancy anywhere around here that I can buy books so I might have to resort to shopping online, which I don't hate.

Alright I am going to make a tea and get a few things done around here before Jason gets home. I'm sorry today's post sucks, but at least I bothered to show up, that's something isn't it? I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Thank you as always for stopping by!

Lone Survivor By Marcus Luttrell: A Book Review

Good Morning,

First and foremost guys Tanya and I will be at Live with Kelly and Michael this morning so flip it on at 9:00am EST and look for us!

I haven't finished some of the posts that I have started, my bad.. the last few days have just gotten away from me or I have had my face stuck in a book and not made blogging as much of a priority as I have wanted to/should. Whats worse is I am still having issues with my blog and computer! I have gone through Geek Squad again and contacted Lisette at Northern Belle Diaries and honestly I don't know what to do. I am not technically savvy by any means and most people who work with website specific viruses only do it when you own your site, such as wordpress. Ugh! I'm still trying to figure it out so it you have any suggestions than please comment with some ideas!

Anyways as I mentioned before I ready American Sniper which I reviewed Monday I believe and afterwards I had to read Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. I have seen the movies quite a few times actually but I was confident that the book would be different but I honestly didn't expect just how different it would be! The book was so extremely detailed in the ways that the movie wasn't at all, there was so much more information about Marcus' family and his training before Operation Redwing ever took place.

This is the synopsis directly from goodreads.com as you would find it there:

On a clear night in late June 2005, four U.S. Navy SEALs left their base in northern Afghanistan for the mountainous Pakistani border. Their mission was to capture or kill a notorious al Qaeda leader known to be ensconced in a Taliban stronghold surrounded by a small but heavily armed force. Less then twenty-four hours later, only one of those Navy SEALs remained alive.

This is the story of fire team leader Marcus Luttrell, the sole survivor of Operation Redwing, and the desperate battle in the mountains that led, ultimately, to the largest loss of life in Navy SEAL history. But it is also, more than anything, the story of his teammates, who fought ferociously beside him until he was the last one left-blasted unconscious by a rocket grenade, blown over a cliff, but still armed and still breathing. Over the next four days, badly injured and presumed dead, Luttrell fought off six al Qaeda assassins who were sent to finish him, then crawled for seven miles through the mountains before he was taken in by a Pashtun tribe, who risked everything to protect him from the encircling Taliban killers.

A six-foot-five-inch Texan, Leading Petty Officer Luttrell takes us, blow-by-blow, through the brutal training of America's warrior elite and the relentless rites of passage required by the Navy SEALs. He transports us to a monstrous battle fought in the desolate peaks of Afghanistan, where the beleaguered American team plummeted headlong a thousand feet down a mountain as they fought back through flying shale and rocks. In this rich , moving chronicle of courage, honor, and patriotism, Marcus Luttrell delivers one of the most powerful narratives ever written about modern warfare-and a tribute to his teammates, who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

This book took me forever to read because I was really trying to absorb all the information he was sharing, all the facts of the war, his training and basically everything he went through. He wrote this book to give you all the facts, to make sure that when you were done you were informed and educated on a broader spectrum. He definitely gave his opinion on some things that you may not agree with but I must say his opinion comes from experience, seeing things first hand and as we say everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I really enjoyed this book and at the end I kid you not I sat and sobbed like a baby, I Kim Karashian ugly cried through the last 20 pages and let me tell you how glad I am that I was alone to do so. I really enjoyed this book, more than I can say, and I highly recommend all of you read it, not just for his account of the worst days of his life but for the facts as he saw them.

I promise you the book is nothing like the movie and in my opinion 1000 times better and I truly did love the movie.

Have you read the book already? If so what did you think?

Any recommendations on books like this? I am always looking for something to read!!

As always thanks for stopping by!

Products I am Loving! 02.10.14

Good Morning,

We are still in the the wake of Christmas or so I would like to think and therefore I have some new products that I've been using that I thought I would share with you guys. As you know I get my monthly Birchbox which I love and I got a bunch of stuff for Christmas and then when I run out of stuff I sometimes try new stuff so every couple of months I run into a bunch of products, or at least a few that I love and like to share them with you guys. These are what I am loving as of lately.

The Balm Cindy-Lou Manizer

I got this product in a Birchbox a couple of months ago and truth be told at first I didn't really love it. It has such a strong gold sheen to it that it always looks sparkly and I am just not into that. I put it in my makeup bag and would look at it on occasion but never really used it. One day I was just putting on minimal makeup and thought I would use this to brighten up my cheeks a little.. turns out I absolutely love it. I generally only use this on minimal make up days because it will serve a dual purpose as blush and highlighter. I really like it, its really pigmented so a little goes a long way! I like all the Balm products I have tried and this one is no exception.

If you are interested this is a close up of the products applied to skin...

You can purchase the full size product as pictured above for $24.99 and I do believe that is a fair price for the quality of the product and the fact that I do believe it would last forever. It can be purchased as The Balm website, Sephora, Birchbox and the make up section as Kohls.

I have mixed feelings about sharing this one with you guys because it is truly bittersweet. I didn't know how I would feel about a body scrub when I got this one for Christmas, but I definitely love the satsuma scent so I was excited to use it. Turns out I absolutely LOVE this body scrub but for the size pictured above (200ml/ 6.75 FL OZ) is $20.00! Maybe some people are happy to spend that much on a body wash but let me tell you I am not! I suppose I could wait until they go on sale though, because I definitely want to buy more!

This product is great, the smell lingers on your body and in your bathroom! I can go for a shower and than go in the bathroom 45 minutes later and still smell the satsuma! Naturally these come in all different scents so if you happen to see a sale at The Body Shop or are fine to spend the much money on body wash then go buy some!! Right now!!!

In case you were wondering The Body shop is currently running a sale, buy three get two free.

One day I was watching an Aubrey Kinch makeup tutorial and I saw that she was using this palette and I was intrigued! She raved about how great it was which was evident as she had hit pan on pretty much every pot! I started looking into it and when I discovered the whole palette was priced at $14.85 I wanted it. Here's the catch, the company is based in Ireland and therefore you are going to pay a small fortune for shipping. Tanya decided that she was going to order the palette as well so it worked out great because we split the shipping and the palette still worked out to be only $20.00 which is FANTASTIC!

I pretty much use the entire palette all year long. I use the palette every single day and with the range of colors I get use out of it when I am pale in the winter and tanned in the summer. There is a HD powder is great for setting your under eye concealer if you are looking for a bright under eye. I use the lighter of the two yellow powders as an overall face powder because my Sephora one is too dark for me right now (pathetic I know). I use the two lighter contour colors to contour in the summer and when I am a little darker I will use to two darkest color. I know I will run out of the middle shade of brown first which sucks because it is my PERFECT bronze shade with no shimmer!

I cannot rave about this palette anymore, I will definitely be purchasing more from this website. They literally have everything, and I am anxious to try their brushes. I know you have to pay for shipping but all of this is so worth it. You can check them out HERE.

I love everything Philosophy as you may well know if you have been reading this blog for awhile so I was really excited when Jason bought me this for Christmas. He did good because I also love everything coconut. I only use this as bubble bath and I absolutely love it! This stuff gives sooooooooo many bubbles with the little bit of product and it smells AMAZING! Same as the satsuma body scrub the smell lingers on your body and in the bathroom forever! I don't really know what else to say about this stuff, I love it.. go buy it! I think Philosophy products can tend to be a little pricey but I feel this is really totally reasonably priced at $18.00 for this giant bottle!!

You can purchase this at Ulta, Sephora and I have found it at Kohl's as well.

I have sensitive skin and so I have to be really careful about what I use on my face or it will not only break out but I will get a rash and what not.. none of it is pleasant. Anything that is specifically for sensitive skin is right up my alley! I was using the Olay Fresh Effects Dew Over Hydrating Gel Moisturizer and loved it but I felt that because during the winter months I tend to get extremely dry that I needed something a little more heavy duty. When we were home at Thanksgiving I was touring around Target (because obviously) and was looking for a moisturizer for winter when I came across this. It was on sale and Aveeno is such a great brand that I thought why not give it a try.

I really love this stuff, it smells really good, its super thick and moisturizing but not at all greasy! I use this morning, noon (on no makeup days, because you can never have too much moisture in the winter) and night. In the morning I will use this before putting on my makeup and it makes my skin the perfect canvas to apply makeup.

I think its reasonably priced, its a little more than your regular everyday drugstore moisturizer but significantly cheaper than a high end one. It can be purchased at Target for $14.00.

You probably remember from one of my recent High Five for Friday posts that Tanya and I were in the city and got Winter Dream Lattes at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.. it was incredible! Tanya purchased the tea that day and then decided she loved it so much she ordered some of their stuff online. She gave me some of the tea and although I tried to recreate the latte at home unsuccessfully I decided I really liked the tea a lot all on its own. The tea itself is kind of spice like but not nearly as strong as a chai or anything like that. Its advertised as "cinnamon spice and everything nice" which I think is extremely accurate. I really love this tea.

Tanya also purchased their strawberry cream green tea and shared that as well (so nice!) and it too is absolutely amazing. Often times I find a green tea will be said to have a certain flavor and often its nothing like you would expect but these are exactly as described. If you are in the market for some tea I would highly recommend checking these out. If you cant get to a store you can purchase them online!

So those are a few things I am loving right now, is there anything that you are using that you are loving and care to share? Keep in mind these are all my personal opinions, some of these products may or may not work for you! If you happen to try anything I have shared please let me know what you think!!!

Have a great day!!

American Sniper By Chris Kyle: Book Review

Listen guys we might as well establish something here, for awhile there are going to be a lot of book reviews, if you don't want to read them I totally respect that but I am reading a lot as you can tell and I feel the need to share. I am trying to change up the genre of the books that I am reading to keep it interesting around here but there are going to be book reviews here and there, I'm sorry if its not your thing.

As you know reviews of the movie American Sniper are absolutely everywhere, not to mention the horrific story of how Chris Kyle's life was taken far too soon. I see it on the cover of every magazine in the supermarket, its on every entertainment show and naturally curiosity got the best of me and when Jason and I were at Target the other night I bought the book. I know the movie is the hot topic but I prefer to read the book first on most accounts and having thought about that the other day I was quite amused yesterday to wake up and find Helene over at Helene in Between had wrote THIS post. She makes some really good points, I like to read the book because I want to decide what the characters look like, see the whole picture in my head exactly as I think it is because of what I have read. Now obviously I could only do that so much with this book as I have seen Chris Kyle and his wife Taya's face everywhere.

The book in my opinion is ALWAYS better than the book, always.. so I knew I had to read this book before I saw the movie, and I am anticipating the movie to be epic.

This is the synopsis directly from the Good Reads website, exactly as you would find it there.

From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyle's kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan (“the devil”) and placed a bounty on his head. Kyle earned legendary status among his fellow SEALs, Marines, and U.S. Army soldiers, whom he protected with deadly accuracy from rooftops and stealth positions. Gripping and unforgettable, Kyle’s masterful account of his extraordinary battlefield experiences ranks as one of the great war memoirs of all time.

A native Texan who learned to shoot on childhood hunting trips with his father, Kyle was a champion saddle-bronc rider prior to joining the Navy. After 9/11, he was thrust onto the front lines of the War on Terror, and soon found his calling as a world-class sniper who performed best under fire. He recorded a personal-record 2,100-yard kill shot outside Baghdad; in Fallujah, Kyle braved heavy fire to rescue a group of Marines trapped on a street; in Ramadi, he stared down insurgents with his pistol in close combat. Kyle talks honestly about the pain of war—of twice being shot and experiencing the tragic deaths of two close friends.

American Sniper also honors Kyles fellow warriors, who raised hell on and off the battlefield. And in moving first-person accounts throughout, Kyles wife, Taya, speaks openly about the strains of war on their marriage and children, as well as on Chris.

Adrenaline-charged and deeply personal, American Sniper is a thrilling eyewitness account of war that only one man could tell.

I truly couldn't put this book down, I know there are mixed reviews as to why Chris Kyle wrote this book but regardless I do believe his story deserved to be told and as he said it, why better to tell it than he who lived it.

I know there are mixed reviews about this book, there is a lot of talk about Chris Kyle glamorizing war and although I respect everyone's opinion on what they read I honestly didn't see it that way. Here's the thing, I feel like in order for me to judge his truth I would have had to live it, I get that he comes across cold but I find it hard to believe you wouldn't having seen the things he has seen. When acts of terrorism happen we are angry, we are sad that the world we live in leaves us with worries such as this but none the less that is the world we live in. It makes us angry and sad. Chris Kelly saw terrorism everyday for 8+ years, he walked the streets with his fellow American's everyday in a place where they were target, literally with bounty's on their head. Wouldn't that make you a little biased? a little cold?

This book was hard to read, the gratefulness we have for the men and women who serve our country in those terrible awful places just doesn't seem like enough. They truly risk their lives and sadly sometimes lose them all for the greater good of us and our daily lives.

I felt horrific sadness reading this book all the while knowing that this man served his country, had many close calls, came home struggling to find a balance between what he had been through and what his life had been to being home in a completely different world trying to find normalcy in a life that didn't make sense to him anymore had died in such a horrific way. This man served his country in the most courageous way and came home looking for a way to serve his country while still being a father and a husband and he died at the hands of a fellow veteran. It makes my heart ache.

Even if you've seen the movie, read the book.

I was sad for the book to end when I was done, and although I have seen the movie a couple of times I went out and bought Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell. Marcus and Chris were both SEALs and Marcus was mentioned in the book, reminding me of my love for the movie and how I hadn't read the book. So stayed tuned for a review on that!

Happy Reading!!

High Five for Friday 02.06.15

Hi guys,

I'm not going to lie I have the horrific winter blues over here, that combined with home sickness has not made for the most epic week. I swear I hate nothing worse than winter, I despise it in fact. I remember last year being at home, Jason was in Alaska and it started to snow. I went outside and sat on the front steps and just smelled the snow, it was amazing. By the next day it was gone and I was good with the whole thing. Why cant winter work like that every where? I don't get loving winter, I think the worse thing in the world is being cold and I generally am anyways so winter does not help! Can is just be spring?

Anyways enough complaining. Its been a really quiet week here because its been super cold, the weather is pretty crappy, not to mention my partner in crime is home visiting family in Canada! I don't know why I didn't make my way home for a week where its 50 degrees everyday.. that's a thought for another day though.

I did manage to pull together 5 things from this week and here I am to share!

1. THE PATRIOTS WON THE SUPERBOWL!!!
Obviously this was the best part of the week. We waited all day (which seemed like forever) for the game and it was a nail biter. In the end we won and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! I have been loving all the hype all week, I watched the Patriots celebration parade in Boston this week and the guys have been on a bunch of different talk shows and late night, plus instagram has been flooded with all kinds of pictures and videos.. its been fantastic! Time to rest of up for next season boys!!

2. Target is gearing up for Spring!

This is a bit of a tease I won't lie. I made my way to Target on Wednesday and the sidewalks were icy and slushy and basically a freakin' mess and I walk into Target and there is all their Spring clothing. I wont lie it gives me hope, they are bringing out Spring clothing so it must be coming, not to mention the fact that those bright colors just made me happy. I was tempted to buy something just to hang it in my closet so I could look at it. On that note all my Spring/Summer clothes are at home right now because between Jason (YES JASON) and I we have way too many clothes to fit in the tiny closet here so we switch them out according to season, anyways I took note of my winter wardrobe and its pretty drab. All black, grey, navy blue.. I need to spice things up a little. geesh!

3. Books, Books and more Books!

I have been reading up a storm if you can tell from all the book reviews around here. I love to read and this is the perfect time of year to do a lot of that because there is a lot more in door time. I have been flying through books and last week I decided to pick up American Sniper because I had heard so much about the movie, I finished that one (stay tuned for a book review, naturally) and grabbed Lone Survivor at Target when I was there this week. I am really interested in these war books and a look at things from the inside. So far and I am really enjoying Lone Survivor as well. Sometimes all you need is a cup of tea and a good book!

4. Trivia Crack.

Judge if you will but honestly I don't play any games on my phone, any games online and I don't have facebook for any of those games. So last week when I was watching Essie Button's January favorites video and she mentioned this app she had called Trivia Crack that she was loving I thought I would check it out. I'm not going to lie I am addicted, I made my Mom get it so I had someone else to play against. I like anything that causes you to think a little extra and this game is fantastic. You can find it at the App store for free if you want to give it a whirl, or you can check it out HERE.

5. Geek Squad

OK this one may seem a little lame but it was a lifesaver for me this week. We purchased our computer through Best Buy years ago and we ended up getting the extended warranty with Geek Squad, I have to say because our computer is junk we have definitely used it and continued to renew it as time has gone on. Anyways I have been having problems with my blog, I thought I had a virus or something and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. I have been running virus scans and Googling anything and everything to see how to fix it and getting no where. I finally decided to go on the Geek Squad website yesterday and see if they could help. It was the best decision I could have made, they fixed it in less than an hour and I didn't have take it in and keep it for days. They logged into my computer and I watched them do everything and they fixed it all. They answered all my questions and it was all part of our plan so I didn't pay a cent! I couldn't be happier with the results.
